Dear BBBS Community,
July has arrived, and that means back-to-school will be here before long, bringing the return of our School-Based matches. Soon, Bigs and Littles will be back together in classrooms and on campuses across our community, continuing the steady connection that makes these relationships so meaningful.
As we look toward the months ahead, we are grateful for the Bigs, Littles, families, donors, volunteers, and partners who continue to make this mission possible. Thank you for being part of our BBBS family and for helping us create more meaningful mentoring relationships across Greater Tarrant County.
30 Men in 30 Days Update
Thank you to everyone who helped share our mission and encouraged more men to consider becoming mentors. Because of that support, 83 potential Big Brothers reached out, 10 completed their applications, five are preparing to be matched, and two have already begun their journey as Big Brothers.
Mentorship gives young men a consistent adult who listens, encourages them, and helps them navigate challenges with greater confidence. For boys waiting to be matched, that relationship can open the door to new possibilities.
We are proud of this progress and excited to see these new mentoring relationships grow. With more Littles still waiting across Tarrant and Denton Counties, every new Big Brother brings us one step closer to ensuring more young people have someone in their corner.

Match Moment: Big Sister Melody and Little Sister Karen

”Four years ago I was matched with a shy, quiet little girl who was still figuring out who she was. Watching her grow over these last years has been one of the greatest honors.
Today, she is a confident, kind, and intelligent young woman who continues to amaze me. She excels in school, participates in sports and band, and consistently demonstrates the character, respect, and determination that make her so special. Whether we’re trying new adventures, sharing laughs, or simply spending time together, I’ve loved watching her step outside her comfort zone and grow into the incredible person she is becoming.
Being her Big has never been about changing her-it’s been about showing up, cheering her on, and having a front-row seat to her journey. Every year she becomes more confident, more capable, and more uniquely herself.
I am so proud of everything she has accomplished and so grateful to be a small part of her story. The memories we’ve made over the last four years are ones I will cherish forever, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things her future holds.” -Big Sister Melody
