The Inaugural Big Mix Raises More Than $230,000 for Mentorship

ALL

Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Tarrant County hosted its inaugural Big Mix, bringing together supporters, sponsors, and community champions for an unforgettable evening in support of youth mentorship.

Held at The Vault at Blue Flag Distillery in Fort Worth, The Big Mix was created to celebrate the power of mentorship while raising critical funds to help more young people across our community experience the impact of a caring, consistent mentor. The evening featured delicious food, meaningful stories, an exciting live auction, and an incredible performance by Aaron Watson.

From the moment guests arrived, the energy in the room was something special. It was a night filled with connection and celebration, but more than anything, it was a night where our community showed up in a BIG way for young people.

Guests heard powerful stories from our Mentor of the Year, Allie, as well as Big Brother Gabe and his Little Brother Zyion. Their stories gave everyone in the room a meaningful look at what mentorship can do. Behind every match is time spent showing up, trust built over time, and a relationship that can help a young person see more for themselves and their future.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests, sponsors, and supporters, The Big Mix raised more than $230,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Tarrant County, far surpassing the original goal of $150,000.

That means more young people in our community will have the opportunity to be matched with a mentor who believes in them, encourages them, and walks alongside them as they grow. For children still waiting to be matched, support from events like The Big Mix helps move the mission forward.

The evening closed with a high-energy performance by Aaron Watson. It was the perfect ending to a night built around community and impact.
