March Newsletter Header

Dear BBBS Community,

As we step into spring, we are excited for the season ahead and all that it brings. The past few months have been full of meaningful moments across our community, from time spent together in matches to the continued growth we are seeing in the young people we serve.

With the shift in season comes new energy. Longer days, fresh opportunities, and more time to be out in the community doing what matters most. We are looking forward to building on the momentum and continuing to grow alongside our Bigs, Littles, and supporters.

Meet our Bigs of the year!

Mentor of the year, Allie Ferris. Big Brother of the Year, Doug Hadley. Big Sister of the Year, Sara Santarza

We are excited to recognize our Big Brother, Big Sister, and Mentor of the Year. Join us on Facebook and Instagram as we share more about their stories!

A Day Outdoors

From archery and hiking to hands-on shotgun practice, Nature Day was filled with opportunities for matches to step outside their routine and experience the outdoors together.

This event was made possible through the support of the Sportsmen’s Club of Fort Worth, whose ongoing investment helps bring Bigs Outdoors experiences to life throughout the year. We are also grateful to Chicken Express for providing lunch and helping make the day even more special for everyone involved.

A special thank you to the Fort Worth Clay Shoot Committee and our dedicated volunteers, who gave their time and energy to prepare for the day, lead activities, and ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Because of partners and volunteers like these, our Bigs and Littles are able to experience something new, build confidence, and create lasting memories together.

BBBS Lone Star Just Got Bigger!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas, located in Austin, will officially merge with Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star on April 1, marking an exciting step forward in expanding our reach across Texas.

Together, we will serve more youth, support more families, and grow mentoring relationships throughout the region. All current matches and services in Central Texas will continue without interruption and will remain supported by the same trusted staff and community connections. We are grateful for the partners, volunteers, and supporters who make this work possible, and we look forward to what’s ahead.

Always a Part of Something BIG!
