Jenny Harper Named BBBS Lone Star CEO

Agency Selects Market President to Lead the Enterprise.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Lone Star announced today that Jenny Harper has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Harper brings more than 20 years of experience with the organization and a record of accomplishment in leadership, program expansion, and market growth.

Harper will lead the organization’s mission across six major Texas markets, to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

“Jenny has dedicated her career to advancing our mission and strengthening outcomes for the young people we serve,” said Rob Bowlby, Chair of the BBBS Lone Star Executive Board. “Her deep institutional knowledge, commitment to high-quality programs and unassuming leadership style make her the ideal person to lead BBBS Lone Star into its next chapter.”

Harper began her career at Big Brothers Big Sisters more than two decades ago, serving on the organization’s programs team in the North Texas area, where she helped support and scale mentoring services. In 2019, she was promoted to Dallas Market President, leading one of the agency’s largest and most impactful markets. Under her leadership, the Dallas market strengthened community partnerships, expanded volunteer engagement, and advanced program outcomes for youth and families.

“Twenty-three years of service with Big Brothers Big Sisters has shaped my life and developed my leadership,” said Harper. “I am honored to step into the role of CEO to lead this great mission into the next century of service in Texas. Every day, our mentors, staff, and volunteers change the trajectory of young people’s lives through the power of consistent, caring relationships. I am deeply committed to building on this legacy by strengthening our impact across Texas while ensuring every child we serve has the support they need to reach their full potential.”

As CEO, Harper will focus on strategic growth, program innovation, and strengthening community and corporate partnerships to ensure more young people have access to life-changing mentoring relationships.

Harper challenged everyone to get involved in the mission of BBBS, saying, “We invite volunteers, parents, and community partners to join us, because when more adults step forward, more young people gain the consistent support they need to succeed.”
