Abilene, TX – February 12, 2026

Big Brothers Big Sisters West Central Texas is delighted to announce the promotion of Mallory Wilcox to Market President, a decision enthusiastically supported by BBBS Regional Board members and agency leadership. Wilcox’s extensive experience, commitment to youth in the area, and proven ability to lead effectively within the BBBS organization made her the ideal choice to direct the agency’s mission in West Central Texas. Wilcox has served as Interim Market President since January 1, 2026, bringing nearly a decade of experience with the organization and deep knowledge of its programs and community impact.

Before stepping into the interim position, Mallory made a considerable impact as Vice President of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters Abilene. In that role, she led signature fundraising events, managed critical grant funding, strengthened donor relationships, and built lasting partnerships. During her tenure, she has collaborated closely with three previous Market Presidents, playing an essential role in driving organizational growth and advancing the life-changing mission of one-to-one mentoring.

“Mallory’s deep knowledge of our organization, strong relationships across the community, and proven leadership in development and board engagement make her the ideal leader to guide the West Central Texas market,” said Travis Ruiz, Big Brothers Big Sisters Abilene Board Chair.

In addition to her leadership role, Mallory is serving in her third match as a volunteer Big Sister, providing firsthand insight into the impact of mentoring relationships on children and families.

“I am honored to be named Market President of West Central Texas, following the leadership of my predecessors and mentors who have built such a strong foundation,” said Wilcox. “I’m grateful for the continued support of our community, volunteers, and donors, and I’m excited for the opportunity to further serve the children and families in our region.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters West Central Texas empowers children to reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships.
