2/18/23 – Save the Date: Be the Light Tour, a Mobile Career Center and an opportunity to build a resume, sharpen interview skills, get a free headshot, and connect with employers. This event is open to Bigs, Littles/Mentees (age 18+), Parent/Guardians, and others in the community. More details coming later this month!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
YMCA Memberships: Did you know that as an active Big/Mentor with BBBSTX, you and your Little get FREE memberships to the YMCA? The YMCA of Greater Houston partners with BBBS to offer a free citywide membership to all matched Bigs and Littles enrolled in the BBBS mentoring program. Membership gives you access to 26 YMCA locations throughout the Houston Area and is valid for one year from date of your YMCA enrollment. (You may renew for free yearly as long as you continue in an Active Match with BBBS). If your match should close, your membership with YMCA will discontinue the month following the closure of your match. HOUSTON MATCH ACTIVITIES
If you are unable to attend with your Little, please let your Little’s Parent/Guardian know about these events. They will also receive a Parent/Guardian email with some of the events listed.
BBBS Event: Open Office Hours @BBBS Downtown
Description: If you want a place to hang out with your Little but don't know where to go or what to do, come on by the BBBS office! We’ll have board games and art supplies and books and plenty of space for you and your Little. You can bring snacks or something to eat, schoolwork, games, or other activities, and we'll supply a cool place for you to hang out.

BBBS Event: BBBS Day at UH Women’s Basketball Game – Cougars vs Tulane
Description: University of Houston Athletics Department would like to recognize Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star - Greater Houston for their hard work and dedication to serving others. UH is offering BBBS folks, friends, and families specially priced $4 tickets to the UH Women’s Basketball game.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has announced a national partnership with T-Mobile, where we have the opportunity to connect our eligible Little/Mentee families to the T-Mobile Project 10 Million. This initiative has T-Mobile providing FREE 100 GB of internet per year for 5 years AND a FREE hotspot (including free shipping) to qualifying families.
