Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston is seeking a Youth & Volunteer Enrollment Intern to support our Enrollment, Child Intake, and Customer Service teams. This internship offers hands-on experience in youth services, volunteer enrollment, family engagement, and nonprofit program operations.
What You’ll Do
- Support youth and volunteer enrollment by assisting with applications, references, and required documentation.
- Track volunteer applications and Youth Serving Organization references and communicate with references as needed.
- Enter and maintain enrollment information in the agency database.
- Communicate with parents of youth waiting to be matched, providing program updates, resources, and information about upcoming opportunities.
- Assist with research, identification, and scheduling of youth for community-based programming.
- Track completed interviews and parent trainings and assist with coordination of family benefits and incentives.
- Collaborate across teams to help youth and volunteers move safely and efficiently through the enrollment process.
Qualifications
- Ideal for students majoring in social or human services, education, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and research skills.
- Customer service and people-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
Internship Details

- Based at Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston, 1003 Washington Ave., Houston, TX 77002.
- Supervised by Debbie Adams, Director of Enrollment and Matching.
