Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston is seeking a Community & Volunteer Outreach Intern to support mentor recruitment efforts and help build meaningful community partnerships. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit outreach, volunteer engagement, community relations, and recruitment strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Represent Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston at community events, outreach opportunities, and volunteer recruitment activities.
- Assist with identifying and developing new community partnership opportunities.
- Support mentor recruitment efforts through event participation, tabling, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team and contribute ideas during weekly strategy meetings.
- Build professional skills in communication, networking, relationship building, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Occasional evening and weekend availability, including some Saturdays for community events.
