Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston is seeking a Community & Volunteer Outreach Intern to support mentor recruitment efforts and help build meaningful community partnerships. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit outreach, volunteer engagement, community relations, and recruitment strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston at community events, outreach opportunities, and volunteer recruitment activities.
  • Assist with identifying and developing new community partnership opportunities.
  • Support mentor recruitment efforts through event participation, tabling, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team and contribute ideas during weekly strategy meetings.
  • Build professional skills in communication, networking, relationship building, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability, including some Saturdays for community events.
