A CENTURY OF IMPACT.

For nearly a century, Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Dallas has proven one powerful truth: a caring adult can change a child’s life – and our community. As we approach our 100th anniversary, this moment is more than a celebration. It’s a call to action to build the next century of opportunity, resilience, and belonging for Dallas youth.

OUR STORY.

In 1927, Dallas probation officer, Jessie White, saw that too many young people lacked a trusted adult. She launched what became the Dallas Big Brothers affiliate. Big Sisters soon followed, and our community has strengthened the mission ever since.

Today, the need is just as urgent. Though digitally connected, many young people feel isolated and unseen. Without access to working professionals, career paths remain out of reach. Big Brothers Big Sisters bridges that gap, connecting young people with mentors who broaden their vision, build confidence, and unlock potential.

Mentorship doesn't just fix one problem, it strengthens entire ecosystems.
